Eggs are life, containing the universal macrocosm within their physical and spiritual microcosm: life expressed biologically for the continuation of the species; life embodied in their symbolic birth and rebirth and transformation; life mythologized in story, art, and culture; and all these levels of life encapsulated—as in a pysanka—over the course of a human lifespan.

There is, in each of us, a pysanka waiting to be born.

There is, for each of us, a pysanka in the process of being created.

There will be, as each of us, a pysanka that persists into eternity.
